Though the current Coronavirus situation is starting to look ever so slightly brighter, as many countries take steps towards lifting lockdown measures, it’s important that businesses now adapt to the ‘new normal’ in order to ensure the safety of their workforces, particularly as industry and retail gear up to reopen.

Suppliers in our network have taken this in their stride, adhering to strict UK government guidelines and advice from the British Retail Consortium on safety, by implementing measures like:

  • Additional signage to ask staff not to turn up to work if they have symptoms

  • Regular and visible written/verbal communication of the government’s messages

  • Frequent handwashing, including frequently cleaning and disinfecting surfaces that are touched regularly

  • Social distancing, including complying with the universal advice of keeping 2 metres apart, floor markings to assist this and staggered shifts to manage the number of staff members on site at any time

  • In delivery networks, it is suggested to restrict non-essential visitors to sites and offer non-contact deliveries too

With these measures in hand, retailers can rest assured that all appropriate measures are being taken to ensure the safety of all workers within the supply chain of our on demand network.
